My Story

I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember, and today, I’m fortunate to share my home with three amazing dogs: Dixie, Max, and Bane. My journey into the world of dog training began early and has been shaped by diverse experiences that have deepened my understanding of canine behavior and the powerful bond between humans and dogs.

After high school, I joined the Air Force, where I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and their handlers. Volunteering at the kennels and participating in training exercises, I witnessed firsthand how these dogs performed under high-pressure conditions. Their ability to execute complex tasks with precision sparked my interest in dog training and leadership.

In 2018, after separating from the Air Force, I was prescribed a Service Dog, and I trained Dixie to become my certified service dog. This experience taught me how transformative the right kind of training can be—not just for the dog, but for the handler as well. Through my work with Dixie, I learned how powerful a relationship can be when trust, leadership, and communication are at the core, and how a well-trained dog can help redirect irrational fears or problem behaviors into productive, positive behaviors.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to continuous learning and growth in the field of dog training. I’ve gained hands-on experience working as a kennel technician, doggy daycare counselor, dog walker, and in various specialized training disciplines, including personal protection, protection sports, scent work, tracking, and trailing. I’ve also attended numerous training courses and seminars to expand my knowledge and expertise.

Today, my mission is to share with you the profound impact that communication, leadership, and positive reinforcement can have on your relationship with your dog. By building confidence and trust through clear communication and effective training, I believe we can create strong, reliable companions—both for working and for everyday life.
